Visitors & Volunteers

For the safety of our students and staff, all visitors and volunteers are required to sign in and sign out at the office.  Visitors and volunteers may only enter through the main entrance.

Parent volunteers are a very important part of our school community! All volunteers are required to submit a Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and other related documents before being permitted to volunteer.

CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS

Steps to obtain a Criminal Record Check, with Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check

1. Download the Rocky View Schools/Westbrook  Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check Application
2. Take this form to your local RCMP Detachment for processing.
3. For a more detailed information, please refer to the Cochrane RCMP website here.

When completed, our office needs to the original Criminal Record Check document.  Please bring the original to the office where they will take a copy and retain the copy on file for 5 years.

Each year after an Annual Statutory Declaration form will need to be completed and retained at the school.

We also require an annual Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Undertaking form to be completed prior to volunteering.
